A minimum of 5 varieties. It will always include apples and usually bananas and oranges (satsumas/clementines). Depending upon the season it
may also include peaches, nectarines, pears, plums, melon, kiwi
fruit, pineapple or strawberries.
Example: contents of a typical bag, spring 2007;
4 apples, 6 satsumas, 4 bananas, 4 peaches and 3 pears.

Containing a minimum of 5 varieties. It will always include potatoes,
onions and carrots complemented by seasonally available produce,
such as leeks, turnips, broccoli, cabbage, courgettes, sprouts,
parsnips, spring greens etc.
Example: contents of a typical bag, spring 2007: 5 carrots, approximately 3lb of potatoes, 3
onions, 2-3 parsnips, one
cauliflower and 3 leeks.

These bags contain a selection of at least 5 varieties of salad
item drawn from a wide range of salad crops.
Example: contents of a typical bag spring 2007:
1 iceberg lettuce, 1 cucumber, 1 red pepper, 5 tomatoes, 1 bunch
of spring onions, 1 bunch of radishes.

Containing a minimum of 6 varieties. It will always include potatoes,
onions and carrots, complemented by a selection of seasonally available
produce, such as leeks, turnips, broccoli, cabbage, courgettes,
sprouts, parsnips and green beans.
Example: contents of a typical box spring 2007:
1 cauliflower, 1 cabbage, 1 swede, 8 carrots, approximately 5lb
of potatoes, 6 onions, 5 parsnips and 3 leeks.

Typically the box will feature at least 9 varieties of fruits, vegetables
and salad crop, the exact mix varies widely with more salad items
being included during the summer months
Example: contents of a typical box spring 2007:
1 oakleaf lettuce, 1 bag of mushrooms, 1 butternut squash, approximately
1/2lb of salad potatoes, 2 cobs of sweetcorn, vine
tomatoes, 1 pepper, 3 red onions, a bulb of garlic, 2 avocados, 1 mango

Currently we buy our eggs from Kearsley Farm in Northumberland.
In addition to being free range the eggs are produced in accordance
with the RSPCA Freedom Food certification scheme, meaning that the
producer operates to higher animal welfare standards than the legal
minimum. Eggs are supplied boxed.
